We founded Solmirage Suncare as two sisters who grew up under the desert sun in Arizona. Partnering with Dr. Scott Walter, a board-certified dermatologist, we created Solserum Mineral Sunscreen SPF 40, a daily facial SPF that blends skincare with suncare!
We know the importance of sunscreen, particularly mineral sunscreen, but didn’t like the way most formulas felt—sticky and heavy while leaving a white cast. We set out to create something different: a sunscreen we loved wearing every day. Lightweight, hydrating, and great for the health of our skin!
Inspired by the desert mirage, our products are designed to look and feel invisible on skin while providing powerful protection.
DR. SCOTT WALTER, MD
Dr. Scott Walter is a board-certified dermatologist practicing in Golden, Colorado. He graduated with honors from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science in microbiology and immunology, then earned his medical degree at the same institution, where he discovered his passion for dermatology. He went on to complete his dermatology residency at Boston University, serving as Chief Resident.
Dr. Walter provides medical, surgical, and cosmetic care for a wide range of skin concerns, with clinical interests including acne and acne scarring, preventative dermatology, photoprotection, hair loss, skin cancer, and ethnic skin. A strong advocate for sun protection, he is passionate about helping everyone find a daily sunscreen they truly enjoy wearing-because the best sunscreen is the one you'll use every day.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Walter is widely known on social media as @denverskindoc, where he has over 1.6 million followers across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. With a signature mix of honesty, humor, and science, he educates his audience on sun safety, skin cancer prevention, and evidence-based skincare, while debunking myths and misleading trends.
